Transcript of the interview:
What in your opinion is the greatest achievement so far?
“My greatest achievement has to be an intern at the Oprah Winfrey Network, it was absolutely amazing one of the best networks any person could ever do and it was Oprah hello! It was just so much fun and I am very proud of myself for getting that on my own.”
Can you remember the times in your life where you felt like you had to quit? What pushed you to work harder?
“When I quit my job to pursue hosting I think that was the hardest thing for me because when you’re starting a business especially, it takes time and you have to be patient and sometimes you need money of course but you want to pursue what you wanna do because you are tired for working for people; that’s the reason why you created your own business. That was one of the hardest things for me but I kept pushing myself because people always write me motivational things and I can’t let my parents down at all because they help me with my dreams.”
What is a random thing a lot of people don’t know about you?
“I have very smelly feet. [Laughs] They smell horrible when I where gym shoes that’s why I like sandals and heels.”
Who would you say is your biggest inspiration and why?
“My biggest inspiration is Oprah. I just think Oprah is just a powerful woman and she stands her ground. She communicates well to everyone not just African-Americans but every ethnicity. Everything about her is just amazing.”

What would you say the key to success is?
The key to success is being yourself. I think a lot of people always try to be like other people. I think being yourself will get you there, it takes time but you can’t get far with a bad attitude.
What are the main problems affecting the youth in a negative way in your opinion?
“Social Media. I know its me kinda being a hypocrite because everything I do is based upon social media but the things people see on Instagram and Facebook really discourages people careers as far as wanting to get out their more or being sexy for attention. I just think Instagram in general and social media in general has made a negative impact however it is a positive thing too.”
What advice would you give to any young woman/man person wanting to push their dreams but afraid to?
“Have your own opinion because everybody’s opinion does not matter. Your own opinion and how you feel about yourself [is what does] and if you want to pursue something go for it. Don’t make excuses and don’t be negative think positive.”
How do you deal with negativity?
“I am a very positive person and I make sure that the people around me are positive so I don’t really deal with negativity because you are who you hang around and you have to be around positive people, but when people make negative comments its whatever.”
What legacy do you want to leave behind? Something you want to be remembered by?
“I want to be remembered by creating a brand at 19 and being successful and doing it all on my own.”
